Cultivating a diverse, sustainable and resilient primary sector
Cultivating a diverse, sustainable and resilient primary sector
Fields of Change advocates for a strong, diverse, and sustainable primary sector.
We want women to have equal opportunities to lead people and agricultural organisations.
This will drive generational change and strengthen our world-leading sector, helping it become more sustainable and reflective of the diverse range of people within it.
We are storytellers, data-gatherers, researchers and change-makers.
Around 50% of Agricultural Science graduates in NZ are women, however they are missing from senior leadership roles within the sector.
We want to begin an important and overdue conversation about women leaders in agriculture, and to find out why the sector is missing a generation of women business leaders – which will impact its ability to remain world-leading and adapt even more rapidly to address climate change.
New Zealand is proud to be at the forefront of sustainability. However, we must keep pushing forward to remain world-leading. Sustainability and diversity will ensure a sustainable long term future for the sector. We need the breadth of ideas and experience an inclusive workforce offers. Diverse skills, new ideas and innovation will drive the sector forward, increasing productivity in a sustainable way.
We champion, celebrate and want to elevate female leaders, advocating for their advancement to senior roles in the agricultural sector. We will do this through expert analysis, informed conversations, and research to share insights and pave the way for future generations.
Let’s work together to leave the agricultural sector better than we found it, for future generations.
